\u201cTengo el honor de anunciar que su excelencia Ant\u00f3nio Guterres ha sido designado por aclamaci\u00f3n como secretario General de las Naciones Unidas para un segundo mandato, que comenzar\u00e1 el 1 de enero de 2022 y finalizar\u00e1 el 31 de diciembre de 2026\u201d, anunci\u00f3 el presidente de la Asamblea General, Volkan Bozkir, tras una ovaci\u00f3n general de los representantes de los pa\u00edses de la ONU.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Tras \u201cjurar solemnemente\u201d cumplir con \u201cconciencia y discreci\u00f3n\u201d las funciones de secretario General, Guterres prometi\u00f3 que har\u00e1 todo lo posible para avanzar hacia un futuro mejor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Record\u00f3 los principales retos a los que se enfrenta el mundo, desde la pandemia, la crisis clim\u00e1tica y la p\u00e9rdida de biodiversidad hasta el retroceso de los derechos humanos, pasando por la contaminaci\u00f3n, las divisiones geopol\u00edticas, los conflictos, la falta de regulaci\u00f3n del ciberespacio o las crecientes desigualdades. La Misi\u00f3n Permanente de M\u00e9xico ante la ONU felicit\u00f3 a Guterres por su segundo mandato al frente del organismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
