futuras generaciones, el Ayuntamiento y el Gobierno del Estado realizaron una jornada de reforestaci\u00f3n en los predios conocidos como Barranca Honda, en la colonia Cerro Colorado; Zippor y Parque Ecol\u00f3gico Owen, donde se sembraron 5 mil \u00e1rboles end\u00e9micos del bosque mes\u00f3filo de monta\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente municipal Ricardo Ahued Bardahuil agradeci\u00f3 a la familia Owen, representada en este evento por Lisa y Thomas Owen, pues el predio ubicado en el Camino a Coapexpan, donde hoy se sembraron 3 mil \u00e1rboles, se logr\u00f3 adquirir a un precio menor que el costo comercial, como una aportaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s de esta familia al bienestar de las y los xalape\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Record\u00f3 que hace 15 a\u00f1os, la misma familia concedi\u00f3 la servidumbre de paso en un terreno por el que cruza una infraestructura hidr\u00e1ulica, que desde entonces evita las inundaciones que se registraban en la zona de Coapexpan en cada temporada de lluvias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con estos predios, el Ayuntamiento alcanza una cifra hist\u00f3rica de m\u00e1s de 120 mil metros cuadrados de reserva ecol\u00f3gica, que con acciones como esta jornada de reforestaci\u00f3n, colocan a Xalapa como punta de lanza en la posesi\u00f3n y recuperaci\u00f3n de zonas boscosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acuerdo con el gobernador Cuitl\u00e1huac Garc\u00eda Jim\u00e9nez, la familia Owen merece todo el reconocimiento de las y los xalape\u00f1os, pues gracias a su aportaci\u00f3n ahora se contar\u00e1 con un parque ecol\u00f3gico destinado a la convivencia familiar, la conservaci\u00f3n del bosque mes\u00f3filo de monta\u00f1a y el control sobre el crecimiento de la mancha urbana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asistieron las directoras de Medio Ambiente, Ana Isabel Guevara Escobar, y de Salud, Olga Alarc\u00f3n Ric\u00e1rdez; el director de Seguridad Ciudadana y Tr\u00e1nsito Municipal, Miguel Valdez Ram\u00edrez; el secretario de Medio Ambiente, Juan Carlos Contreras Bautista; la secretaria del Trabajo, Previsi\u00f3n Social y Productividad, Dorheny Garc\u00eda Cayetano; la presidenta del Tribunal Superior de Justicia y del Consejo de la Judicatura,
